Baby Jesus of Guadalupe

World’s biggest Baby Jesus

The world’s biggest Baby Jesus has been delivered, weighing a whopping 900 kgs. And at 6.7 metres in length, the Holy Child has knocked the previous holder of the title (a mere 4.8 metres long) out of its manger. The statue has just been installed in a church in Guadalupe, Mexico, and the priest who commissioned it, Rev. Humberto Rodriguez, hopes to have it accepted by the Guinness Book of Records.

But Baby Jesus also has a supernatural resemblance to pop legend Phil Collins (in his 1980s incarnation), who’s more associated with Genesis than the four Gospels. The New York Post claims that Rodriguez has possibly worked a double miracle: ‘He may have created the biggest Jesus/Phil lookalike on the planet.’

News of this blessed event was quick to spread online.

Rev. Rodriguez commented about his church: ‘There is a space of between 26 feet between the ceiling and the floor and I ordered a statue measuring 21 feet, but I never intended to make it the biggest baby Jesus statue in the world.’
